At XY.AI Labs
Lamara co-founded XY.AI Labs and built its platform from the first line of code. He owns the engineering of the agent system: the orchestration layer on Temporal that lets workflows retry, schedule, wait for human review and resume without losing state, the LLM tooling behind it, and the cloud infrastructure it runs on.
His recent work has been on customer-specific intelligence, fine-tuning small models so agents read each organization's documents, like EOBs, the way that organization does, at a fraction of the cost of a frontier model. He presented that work at NVIDIA GTC 2026 with Together AI and at the AI Engineer World's Fair 2026.

Background
Before XY.AI Labs, Lamara worked at doc.ai as a behavioral scientist, translating clinical protocols into conversational flows for chatbot-delivered psychotherapeutic care. Through XY.AI Labs' research work he built COUNTai, a voice-enabled mobile agent for autism support, with the 2M Foundation.
